Cannabis Consultants

We’re recruiting professional, positive, knowledgeable, and experienced Cannabis Consultants who would enjoy working in a state-of-the-art dispensary. Are you a talented cannabis professional seeking long term employment? Do you desire to serve and educate our diverse Santa Cruz community about different cannabis products? Then you might be the right fit!

We are seeking individuals who can facilitate caring, compassionate service for our customers and patient base while representing a leading brand known for unrivaled service and a wide selection of products. Cannabis Consultant positions require solid knowledge, including research and experience with the products, science, and culture of cannabis. You should be patient, friendly, welcoming and consider yourself a “people person” in order to excel at this job.

All applicants must be available to work nights and weekends. Shifts tend to be 6 to 8 hours, with the majority of the time spent on your feet. Ideally, applicants would be available for 4 to 5 shifts per week. The most qualified candidates will have over four years of customer service or hospitality experience in a similar industry. Ability to learn point-of-sale software is a must and be savvy with Google Docs and Drive is a plus.

Receptionist

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming customers at the front desk by greeting them with a smile and friendly attitude.

  • Checking in returning customers and verifying membership.

  • Registering new customers and guiding them through the member application.

  • Directing customers to correct areas within the dispensary based on their needs.

  • Proper phone etiquette, including the handling of incoming calls and answering or referring inquiries, and an understanding of how to use phone to communicate with other departments.

  • Basic upkeep of the reception and waiting areas. Maintaining stock of forms, office supplies and bathroom essentials

  • Safeguard customer privacy and confidentiality at all times. Mindful of HIIPA compliance and full adherence to the law.

  • Proficiently use office equipment (laminator, scanners, printers), Apple computers and Google documents/drive.

  • Complete other clerical duties and free time tasks as assigned by Reception or Floor Managers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience required.

  • Prior experience in an office environment is highly recommended, but not required.

  • Solid experience in communicating effectively and professionally with all patrons, no matter age, gender or medical situation.
